The SOGC is a leading provider of RCPSC-accredited Continuing Medical Education (CME) events in Canada. As an SOGC Member you will receive reduced registration fees for all SOGC CME events.
As an SOGC member, you receive a subscription to several SOGC publications, including the acclaimed Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Canada (JOGC). In addition, our Members also receive a subscription to the SOGC's monthly newsletter, the SOGC News, as well as regular email alerts highlighting the latest news and research in ob/gyn and related subspecialties.
Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Canada (JOGC)
The JOGC is the only peer reviewed professional publication in Canada devoted to Obstetrics and Gynaecology. It is published monthly and contains papers and articles of specific interest to SOGC members as well as abstracts of particular importance from national and international sources. The articles are printed in the official language of submission with an abstract in both official languages. SOGC editorials, policy statements and committee opinions are published in English and French.
In the interest of promoting and advancing the art, science and practice of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Canada, the SOGC Journal is distributed to all SOGC members, medical libraries, Schools of Nursing, Health Ministries and other specialties.
Through this vehicle, the SOGC also distributes Policy Statements, Clinical Practice Guidelines and Committee Opinions.
The SOGC News is distributed exclusively to SOGC Members and contains reports on activities, events, legislation, and developments of particular importance to Canada’s Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. This bilingual publication is issued ten times a year.
The SOGC sends its members regular email alerts highlighting the latest news and research in ob/gyn and related subspecialties.
E-Delivery News Service - Each month, the SOGC produces and distributes an electronic clippings service, a compilation of recent health stories in the news. This service provides members with access to women’s health information making the news - a quick and easy way for members to stay on top of the health news their patients are reading.
The SOGC Review: Evidence-Based Research - This new monthly email broadcast provide you with links to selected expert-identified summaries and critical appraisals of evidence-based research developments in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology. The service also highlights important regulatory updates, methodology discussions and other issues of interest to SOGC members.

To better serve its membership, the SOGC offers several online practice tools.
MyObClinic.ca
Every SOGC Member receives a free subscription to www.myobclinic.ca, a unique resource developed by the SOGC to allow ob/gyns to set up websites for their practice. Members can quickly and easily set up professional-looking websites, ensuring their patients are never more than a click away.
Available in the members-only section of www.sogc.org, the SOGC job bank allows members to post and view resumés and new job postings in ob/gyn.
Affinity Program
Through our corporate partnerships, SOGC Members are entitiled to special benefits and discounts from select providers of airfare, car rentals, financial services, and more.
Each year, the SOGC presents special grants, awards and fellowships. Available to SOGC Members only, these grants, awards and fellowships are presented to selected individuals to help finance educational and scientific endevours and also highlight excellence in our field.
Volunteer opportunities exist for SOGC Members who would like to participate on one of the SOGC's over 50 committees. These committees provide a diverse range of important services, including the development of SOGC clinical guidelines, policy statements, and committee opinions for publication in the JOGC. By joining a committee, you will have the opportunity to participate in important work to advance the sexual and reproductive health care and policy in Canada, while working alongside some of Canada's foremost experts in women's health.
The SOGC is the voice of obstetrics and gynaecology in Canada. Your membership helps to support the important work of the Society to improve the practice of ob/gyn and the quality of care women receive. The SOGC is committed to ensuring that the opinions and concerns of Canada's sexual and reproductive healthcare specialists are being heard.
