President’s messageThere are many reasons why I think you should join us this year for the Annual Clinical Meeting in Ottawa. As always, this is a very special event, different than any of the other continuing medical education events we host throughout the year. It’s not just that our Annual Clinical Meeting is so much bigger; it’s the added value that comes with this increase in size which truly makes it unique, and qualifies it as our field’s premier professional learning opportunity in Canada. |
Firstly, there are more of your peers – and when 1,000 health-care professionals all concerned with women’s sexual and reproductive health come together, there is great potential to benefit from each other’s company, expertise and ideas. From several exciting social opportunities to health breaks, we do our best to maximize networking and exchanges of knowledge for attendees.
There are also more learning opportunities – from 29 best practice sessions and 21 postgraduate sessions, to international symposia and our largest-ever offering of pre- and postconference courses – there are many practical, hands-on and unique chances to expand and improve your practice. No matter what your interest, subspecialty or learning need, there is much to be gained by participating in our scientific program.
And, to top it all off, settings don’t get much nicer than our nation’s capital. Heritage buildings, our best museums, political landmarks, pristine green spaces – all are within walking distance of our meeting. We hope to see you there.
Sincerely,
Mark Heywood, MD, President, SOGC
