Biography
Dr. Laura Weins grew up in Regina, SK, and completed her medical school (2008) and residency (2013) in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Saskatchewan. After completion of residency, she pursued a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery under the mentorship of Dr. John Thiel in Regina, SK in 2014. She has lived in Saskatoon, SK for the past 5 years, where she has a generalist practice focusing on advanced laparoscopy/hysteroscopy, endometriosis, fibroids, and chronic pelvic pain. Dr. Weins is an assistant professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the U of S. She is the director of resident simulation education for the Obs-Gyne program there. She also sits on the Medical Council of Canada QEII Test Committee.In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her puppy Pearl.
