Frequently asked questions

Q: If I miss a session, will it be recorded?
A: Yes. The live presentations will be recorded and available on the « syllabus » tab about a week after the event.

Q: How do I access the live presentations?
A: You can also access the link to join the session by going on the West/Central CME website, clicking on the «syllabus» tab, selecting the live presentation you wish to join and clicking on the « join the Zoom meeting » button. Additionally, an email containing the Zoom links to join the live sessions will be sent to you before the start of the conference. If you have not received this email, it is possible that it is in your junk mail inbox or you are using a different email address on your account.  Make sure that the email address you used to register (as part of your SOGC account) is up-to-date.

Q: Will my participation to this conference be compatible with my continuing professional development activities required by the Royal College of Physician and Surgeon of Canada?
A: Yes. We offer 17 hours of MOC 1 credit from the Royal College (transferable with the College of Family physician credits)

Q: Will all of the virtual presentations be accessible after the days of the conference, that is after March 20th, 2021?
A: All video recordings will be available until April 30th, 2021.

Q: I have a question for the speaker, how can I communicate with them?
A: If you are participating in a live session, you can enter your question in the « chat » section. If you are watching a recording of a live session you can send your questions by email using the following steps: go to the « syllabus » tab, select the desired presentation, and click on the « ask the speaker a question » button.

Q: When I tried to register, the conference price seemed higher than the one indicated on the price table.
A: It is likely that your member category was not selected on your SOGC profile. Please contact us if you need help adding this information to your profile:

Q: Can I still register to the conference after March 20th?
A: Yes. Because of the virtual nature of the event this year, all registration to this conference will stay open until midnight March 31, 2021.

Q: How can I access my certificate of participation?
A: The certificate of participation will be available under the « Certificate of participation » tab on the West/Central CME 2021 web site. To receive the certificate, you need to complete a quick online survey. The certificate is at the end of the survey. You can print it or save it on your computer. The tab is only accessible to registered participants that connected to their SOGC account.
