Dr. Janice Smith Kwon MD
Dr. Janice Kwon is a Gynecologic Surgical Oncologist and Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UBC. She completed medical school and residency training at Queen’s University, and Gynecologic Oncology subspecialty training at the University of Toronto. She obtained a Masters in Public Health at Harvard, and worked at Western University in London, Ontario and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston prior to coming to UBC in 2008. Dr. Kwon is currently the Director of the Gynecologic Oncology fellowship training program at UBC. Her main areas of research interest are in population-based studies and cost-effectiveness analyses relating to endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer, and hereditary cancer syndromes.
