Biography

Dr. Tino D. Piscione MD

Dr. Tino Piscione joined the CMPA in July 2014, following 12 years as a staff pediatric nephrologist and clinicianscientist in the department of pediatrics at The Hospital for Sick Children and as an assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Toronto. Dr. Piscione graduated in medicine at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario in 1991. He subsequently completed residency training in pediatrics and pediatric nephrology at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto in 1996. Dr. Piscione’s background in medical education stems from past experience as associate and head program director of the Paediatric Nephrology Residency Training Program at University of Toronto. His interest in patient safety and quality improvement is founded on formal education in the Patient Safety & Quality Improvement Certificate Program at University of Toronto.
