Dr. Caroline Allen
Caroline Allen is a registered Physiotherapist with over 30 years of experience. For the past 16 years she has been working exclusively in pelvic health, having taken post-graduate courses in women's and men’s health in Europe and across North America. In 2003 she opened ‘Pelvic Support Physiotherapy’ in the west end of Ottawa, where she and 7 other colleagues treat women and men of all ages with bladder, bowel, sexual dysfunctions and chronic pelvic pain conditions.
Caroline mentors and assesses other Physiotherapists, has given numerous talks on pelvic health and teaches workshops across the province on how to asses and diagnose pelvic floor dysfunctions. She has co-authored a paper on the Physiotherapy Treatment of Women with Vaginismus. She has a close working relationship with gynecologists, urologists, psychologists and many other health care practitioners and is passionate about the need for more pelvic health education and awareness.
