Dr. Verena H. Kuret MD
Dr. Kuret was born and raised in Vancouver. She attended the University of British Columbia for her undergraduate degree in Rehabilitation Sciences (OT). After 3 years of practice as an Occupational Therapist, a 6 month volunteer experience in Uganda convinced her to pursue a medical degree. She completed her MD training at UBC in 2005 and moved to Calgary for her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. After completing her Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship training at BC Women’s Hospital, she happily joined the MFM Division at the University of Calgary in 2013. Her areas of interest include the maternal and fetal effects of infections in pregnancy. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 young children cycling around Calgary as well as exploring the Rockies on skiing and hiking adventures.
