Mr. Ken Brisbin

Edmonton AB
Ken Brisbin is an Primary Care Paramedic and currently the North manager for Alberta Health Services eSIM Provincial Simulation. Based in Edmonton, his main job is managing simulation operations for Central, North, and Edmonton zones as well being the primary Simulation Consultant for the Royal Alexandra hospital, Glenrose hospital, and various other programs in the Edmonton Zone. During Ken’s ten years with the program he has led many initiatives to grow the use of simulation as a learning strategy, focusing on the development of Facilitators throughout the province and integrating aspects of Crisis Resource Management into all simulation events. Ken has a very diverse background that has laid a solid foundation for his expertise starting with thirteen years as a soldier with the Canadian Forces as a Tank Commander then Firefighter. During this time Ken also completed his Primary Care Paramedic and advanced Certificates in Adult and Continuing Education and Occupational Health and Safety from the University of Alberta.
