Biography

Ms. Wendy Katherine RM

Toronto ON
Wendy Katherine is the Project Director of the OMama Project, started by BORN Ontario with the support of eHealth Ontario. She is an alumnus of the University of Toronto's MBA Program and is currently Principal Consultant at Phoenix Health Consulting. Among the first regulated midwives in Ontario, Wendy provided reproductive health care for 15 years before joining government to lead health care improvement programs and strategies. Wendy is passionate about improving care for families and, as an innovator and advocate of quality and value in policy, managed ministry projects that included the Ontario Midwifery Program, the Better Outcomes Registry and Network (BORN), the Provincial Council of Maternal Child Health, Prenatal and Newborn Screening Ontario, the Health Equity Impact Assessment, the Integrated Cancer Screening IT Strategy, among others. Wendy is a published author and speaker on the subjects of healthcare quality, midwifery, child health and maternal health.
