Benign general gynaecologic surgery and COVID-19

In this "COVID-19 101" module, participants will be able to: reprioritize medical and expectant gynaecological care as access to ORs decreases; appreciate the risks that SARS-CoV-2 poses to the gynaecologist, and develop intraoperative risk reduction strategies; understand the role of aerosolization and surgical safety with practical strategies to reduce those risks; and familiarize with how the COVID-19 pandemic can affect postoperative care.


This course is an Accredited Group-Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada. You may claim a maximum of 1.0 hour.
