How to work safely in the healthcare environment

In this "COVID-19 101" module, participants will be able to: establish transmission principles for COVID-19, and understand how these apply to social distancing and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the workplace; address work-related modifications that may be indicated for staff with a history of cardiopulmonary disease, hypertension, diabetes, immuno-compromise or who are >60 years old, which put them at higher risk for severe infection if exposed; and help providers confidently make appropriate choices of PPE for their clinical scenario.


This course is an Accredited Group-Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada. You may claim a maximum of 1.0 hour.
