SOGC/CNGOF Junior Member Award

Description

This award is given to a Junior Member of the SOGC who participates in the Abstract Program during the Annual Clinical Meeting (ACM). The winner participates in an exchange program between the SOGC and the Collège national des gynécologues et obstétriciens français (CNGOF) by attending the Collège's annual clinical meeting. This reciprocal award also allows a French resident to attend the SOGC's ACM.

Award

The SOGC/CNGOF Junior Member Award consists of a subsidized trip to attend the Collège national des gynécologues et obstétriciens français annual clinical meeting in France. The SOGC covers air travel, a maximum amount of $200 towards taxi fares and a meal per diem for 6 days. The CNGOF covers hotel expenses and registration fees.

A first runner up and a second runner up will also be chosen in case the winner is unable to attend the CNGOF annual clinical meeting.

Eligibility
  • SOGC Junior Member in good standing.
  • Participation in the Abstract Program, paper or poster abstract presentations, at the Annual Clinical Meeting.

Candidates must demonstrate:

  • Clear and well organized presentation;
  • Thorough knowledge of their subject matter;
  • Ability to answer questions;
  • Good use of communication tools (visual aids, etc.);
  • Delivery of content in a timely fashion.
Application deadline

As established for Abstract submission dates.

Selection

The winner will be chosen during the Abstract Program judging process and announced at the Annual Clinical Meeting's Awards Ceremony.
