	Biography Dr. Sara Thorne joined Toronto ACHD in 2019 after 20 years in practice at University Hospital Birmingham UK where she established the regional Adult Congenital Heart Disease Unit and the renowned Obstetric Cardiology Programme with Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital. She has published widely in the field and collaborated closely with the UK Confidential Enquiry for Maternal Mortality and other UK national bodies. She has brought this experience to Toronto and is now collaborating to establish a National Canadian Maternal Morbidity and Mortality review system. She is a skilled clinician teacher and her areas of expertise include obstetric cardiology, adult congenital heart disease and inherited aortopathy. Disclosure 1.
