Biography

Dr. Hélène Gagné MD

Dr. Hélène Gagné is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Ottawa. She received her medical degree from Queen's University and her Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology after residency at the University of Ottawa. She then completed fellowship training in vulvovaginal diseases at multiple sites in the United States.

Clinical activities include the Vulvovaginal Diseases Clinic at the Ottawa Hospital Shirley E. Greenberg Women's Health Centre, pediatric vulvar clinics at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, colposcopy, and general obstetrics and gynaecology at the Ottawa Hospital.

Educational activities include lectures, workshops, and simulation sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate medical learners. CME speaker activities include the SOGC regional and national meetings, ASCCP Advanced Colposcopy course, and various educational activities for Family Medicine and Ob/Gyn colleagues.

After many years as an Executive Committee Member-at-large, she is now Programme and Education Director for the Society of Canadian Colposcopists. She has been on the SOGC ACSC Planning committee in 2014 and 2015.
