Dr. K.S. Joseph MD,PhD
K.S. Joseph MD, PhD is a Professor in the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the School of Population and Public Health, University of British Columbia and the Children’s and Women’s Hospital and Health Centre of British Columbia, Vancouver. His work is supported by the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute and by a Chair in Maternal, Fetal and Infant Health Services Research awarded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. In 2014, Dr. Joseph received the Greg Alexander Award for Advancing Knowledge sponsored by the US-based Coalition for Excellence in Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology.
Dr. Joseph is the Nominated Principal Investigator of a recently awarded CIHR Team grant titled “A systems approach for enhancing perinatal care regionalization”. This project brings together experts from the Canadian Perinatal Surveillance System (PHAC), the Canadian Perinatal Programs Coalition, the SOGC, the CPS and other organizations with a focus on improving perinatal health services in Canada.
