Biography

Dr. Mary Anne Jamieson MD

Mary Anne Jamieson is an Associate Professor in the departments of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Pediatrics at Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada. She did her medical school at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. After residency in OB/GYN at Queen’s University she undertook a fellowship in Louisville Kentucky in Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology. Dr Jamieson has a busy practice in this subspecialty and has a clinical and academic focus in PAG, Contraception and Adolescent Pregnancy. She was one of the original Co-Chairs of the subspecialty committee for Pediatric & Adolescent OB/GYN of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada (CANPAGO) and was the first Canadian to be elected President of the North American Society of Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology (NASPAG). In 2000, Dr. Robert Reid and Dr. Jamieson created and Co-Directed Canada’s first Contraceptive Advice Research & Education (C.A.R.E.) fellowship and she takes great pride in the achievements of the many graduates of this program.
