Lyme Disease in Pregnancy

Lyme is an emergent disease in Canada, transmitted to humans via the bite of infected blacklegged ticks. The SOGC’s 2020 Committee Opinion No. 399: Management of Tick Bites and Lyme Disease During Pregnancy provides guidance for the care of pregnant patients with tick bite or suspected Lyme disease. This online course is based on key learnings from the new SOGC opinion statement. The aim of this program is to increase awareness of Lyme risk and management in pregnancy, and to provide practitioners with practical patient-counselling tools.
