Congratulations to all of our 2019 Ontario CME Abstract Program winners!

The SOGC and the Academic Council are very pleased to announce the following winners of the poster abstract program and the “Best of the Best” resident research oral abstract program:

The Andrée Gruslin award for the top scoring presenter in the Best of the Best Resident Research Program:
Maria Cusimano (University of Toronto) – Impact of surgical approach on oncologic outcomes in women undergoing radical hysterectomy for cervical cancer

The Bob Reid award for a top scoring presenter in the Best of the Best Resident Research Program:
Gina Colbourne (Memorial University of Newfoundland) – The rates of breastfeeding at the time of postpartum hospital discharge for early term (37+0-38+6 weeks) versus full term (39+0 weeks) infants

The Phil Hahn award for the top scoring poster abstract:
Marie Jones – Making immediate post-placental intrauterine devices (IPPI) accessible to women desiring long-acting reversible contraception after childbirth
